Dorothy Africa will take us to four places that left lasting vivid impressions on her: the grounds of an imperial palace in Kyoto, Japan, the austere and intimate contrasts of Iceland; the Gertrude Jekyll garden at Lindisfarne in northeast England; and the Alhambra summer palace in Granada, Spain. Rita Edmonds will take us to the University of Vienna Botanic Garden, and to see alpine wildflowers from Salzburg to the southern Austrian border along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Teri Swartzel will give us a very quick tour through Great Dixter, an historic garden designed and owned by Christopher Lloyd in Rye, East Sussex, England, and then to a couple of not as well-known gardens in the south of England.
All Somerville Garden Club meetings are free and open to the public. 7-9pm. If you are interested in attending our virtual meeting, but have not received the meeting link via email, or are not a SGC member, you can email info@somervillegardenclub.org for the link.
