Wildflowers of the Fells

Anyone who has been to the Middlesex Fells reservation knows of its wide variety of flora, enough to intrigue the most interested visitor. Bryan Hamlin, biologist, teacher and author, will present a detailed look at the wild flowers and fruits available in the Fells between July 4th and Christmas. His presentation will include photographs of the Fells in different seasons. He will lead a walking tour of the Fells for members of the club on Saturday, Oct 17.

Hamlin grew up in England where his parents were avid gardeners, kindling his interest in biology. He teaches at Medford High School and serves on the board of the Friends of the Fells and the New England Botanical Club. Currently, he is writing a history of the Fells reservation and the plants found there over the last century.
