The Might of Tiny Gardens
Acadia Tucker will talk about the tools and instructions needed to grow your own tiny victory garden, either indoors or out – a garden that can supply you with as much or as little food as you’d like, grown in a way that helps the planet and builds more resilience into your life. Container gardening can help us adapt to climate change by building stronger communities, supporting local pollinators, and expanding the reach of regenerative agriculture. Participants will receive a code to get 20% off Acadia Tucker’s gardening books.
Acadia Tucker is a regenerative farmer, climate activist, and author. Her books are a call to action to citizen gardeners everywhere and lay the groundwork for planting an organic, regenerative garden. For her, this is gardening as if our future depends on it. She is the author of Growing Perennial Foods, Growing Good Food: A Citizen’s Guide To Backyard Carbon Farming, and Tiny Victory Gardens: Growing Food Without A Yard.
All Somerville Garden Club meetings are free and open to the public. 7-9pm. If you are interested in attending our virtual meeting, but have not received the meeting link via email, or are not a SGC member, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org for the link.
