The Greening of Somerville

Luisa Oliveira, ASLA, Senior Planner for Landscape Design of the City of Somerville’s Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development’s Parks and Open Space Division will present “Food for Thought” an introduction to Somerville’s Urban Agriculture Ordinance, which was the first of its kind in New England.

All Somerville Garden Club meetings are free and open to the public. Meetings are usually held the second Wednesday of each month at the Tufts Administration Building, (TAB), 167 Holland Street, second floor, wheelchair accessible. Parking is available, and the building is a ten-minute walk from the Davis Square MBTA stop.

Favorite Garden Tools and Tales

Somerville Garden Club members tell their favorite garden stories and/or bring in their favorite gardening implements for show-and-tell. There will be prizes!
