Mid-Cambridge Plant Swap

When: The Fall 2009 Mid-Cambridge Plant Swap will be on Saturday, September 12, Noon to 2 pm.

Rain date — in case of downpour — is Sunday, September 13, Noon to 2 pm.

Where: Fayette Park (across from the former Longfellow School and library, off Broadway)

Bring anything that’s growing in too much abundance in your garden. Elegant packaging not required, but please do write down the names of plants. We expect to have perennials, biennual seedlings, seeds, potted plants, catalogs, pots, and lots of “whatever.”

Lynden Miller, well known NYC public garden designer, will speak about designing, maintaining, and funding beautiful, four-season plantings for public places. Her garden projects in NYC have become urban oases with economic benefits and the power to transform the way people behave and feel about their city.
