Massachusetts Master Gardener Association, Inc.

The Massachusetts Master Gardener Association, Inc., located at the Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley, MA, provides training and opportunities for camaraderie among individuals with a keen interest in horticulture in all of its many aspects, and who have a desire to share this interest and knowledge with others.

Simply put, Master Gardeners are experienced and trained volunteers who provide horticultural information and educational resources to the gardening public, and who offer technical support for horticulture projects and outreach programs.

One such resource is the Master Gardener Help Line at 617-933-4929. The line is staffed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 AM to 2 PM (or send questions to mghelpline@masshort.org). Typical topics of questions include: vegetables; annuals and perennials; lawn care; houseplants; organic gardening; insect pests; plant diseases; pruning; critter identification and control; water gardens; xeriscaping; native plants; composting and much more.
